It’s been a privilege to serve on our community board, and I’m grateful for the trust you’ve placed in me.
Over my first term, I’ve worked hard to advocate for safer crossings, better walking paths, and stronger community connections. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together, but there’s more to do. I’m committed to listening, taking action, and being available when you need support.
I’d love the chance to keep working for you.

My career as a health professional has given me daily insights into the problems people face, especially those associated with growing old. For 20 years of this time I also worked in senior leadership in health. I understand complex public organisations and how they can work.
Banks Peninsula is a unique environment that brings different challenges for our predominantly urban Council and the Peninsula ratepayers.
If elected, I will strive to listen and advocate for the people of the Peninsula.

I am a proud and long-time resident of the East, an Avonside old girl driven to see our
community thrive. With experience leading whānau development, community funding,
and education, I'll bring a fresh, community-focused perspective to the Board.
I know the needs of our grassroots and I am ready to tackle the big issues and advocate for you.

I’ve spent three decades in community development, refugee resettlement, and the fair trade movement. Before joining the Board, I helped develop the Inner City East Revitalisation Plan, which led to more tree planting, improved streetscapes, and a major reduction in kerbside dumping.
Working alongside Sunita and Jake, I’ve enjoyed helping make our communities stronger. I love improving the area I live in—and working with the many great neighbours that make up the Central Ward.

Over the past three years I have been actively involved in the Halswell community through my role as a member and current Chair of the Community Board.
Through my leadership role I have focussed on community safety, local development, and supporting volunteer and community initiatives.
There is still so much I can do for Halswell and the Community Board, and I’m asking for your continued support to keep delivering for our community.

As an experienced community board member, I’ve been part of a team that’s delivered many great outcomes for the communities in Innes, including community centres in St Albans and MacFarlane Park in Shirley and getting Edgeware Pool back.
However, I know there’s more to do - addressing localised flooding, safer roads for our kids and protecting trees, just to name a few.
I’m asking for your support to represent you on our community board, so we can achieve more together.

We’re your local Linwood community board members. We’re a team, both proudly Woolston, and committed to ensuring that the voices of everyday people are not forgotten by the Council and other decision-makers.
Together, as the Chair and Deputy Chair of the Board, we have made good on the things we said we would by getting trees planted, dealing with anti-social behaviour in suburban villages, working to get the wastewater treatment plant repaired and organics processing plant moved, and gaining funding to focus the Council on the East. We even managed to get Maces Rd, finally, repaired.
We will always stand up for the East and for a fairer, kinder, and more equitable Christchurch, where everyone has a place and a voice.

As Deputy Chair of your Community Board since 2019 I've been active, accessible, and approachable.
I’ve run Think Papanui since 2016. As a member of the Institute of Directors and past co-chair of a Local Government NZ advisory committee, I have the skills and experience needed to serve you as Councillor.
My priorities include: community participation in decision-making; an effective transport system; improving our environment; and responding to climate change.
-
I live here - I love the diverse, interesting and passionate people I meet locally.
I'm involved in a range of community groups and initiatives like Addington Farm.
I want to see safer streets with transport options to suit everyone, and neighbourhoods that are thriving, enjoyable places to live.
I'm here to listen and I’m keen to hear from you.

It would be a privilege to continue the work I’ve started on the community board.
I’ve lived in Lyttelton for over 30 years and have volunteered in various community roles. I’m a university researcher and have also worked in resource management.
I have the skills, experience and values to be your representative, tackling challenges such as adapting to climate change, managing visitors to Banks Peninsula and maintaining and enhancing the quality of the environment.
-
Together, we’ve worked to tackle the issues that we hear are important to our communities. Whether that’s addressing flooding and river water quality, safer and smoother roads and footpaths, or great community facilities, the issues that matter to you are the issues that we want to pick up and take forward.
So please get in touch and let us know how we can make our great communities even better.

I’m a business lecturer, Justice of the Peace, and a marriage and civil union celebrant—and since 2020, one of your Community Board members.
I’m deeply committed to our communities and have worked with John and Jake on local improvements in Linwood, such as upgrading the Stanmore Road shops, increasing tree plantings, and enhancing our parks.
I’m passionate about diversity, inclusion, and sustainability, and I’m determined to keep delivering for our community—starting with getting the CBD shuttle service back on the road.
-
I’ve always said that our ward’s the best place around, but we deserve the infrastructure and amenities to reflect that.
I’m proud of the work I’ve delivered since being elected, but there’s more to do—with significant pressures, challenges, and earthquake legacy projects still to address.
It’s been an incredible privilege to serve the community I grew up in and still call home. I’m out and about to find out what’s important to you. Feel free to reach out and have a chat.

I'm grateful for the education and opportunities that Riccarton has offered me. Now, I want to give back to our community.
My legal knowledge, community organisation, and youth council background provide me with the skills and knowledge to bring stability and responsiveness to our Community Board.
Together, we can keep Riccarton wonderful. I'm asking for your support to serve our community as a Community Board member.

I grew up here, play sport here, and live here with my family. As your board member I’ve been a staunch voice for our communities from Addington to Spreydon to the mighty Rowley!
I have been working in the field of community development for over 20 years with young people and families in our neighbourhoods.
I want to see that our communities are listened to and that our rates are going back into our communities.
